About the Comic
Septembuary is a comic about life in modern China through the eyes of an expat. My ideas come usually from things I notice in daily life, conversations I have with others and the news or reading I do about China. It is truly a fascinating country, and I was very tired of only seeing two or three headlines “Children slaving away in factories”, “Pollution to reach new heights as people die” back home, so I decided it was time to shed a more positive light on how everyday small town people actually live. I always try to keep the strips positive, and none of my work is ever meant to be insulting!
An eternal art student and slow traveler. I love living abroad for prolonged periods of time just to challenge myself to see and experience new things, and hopefully come up with new ideas for my artwork. I have lived in China for 3 years so far, teaching by day, drawing by night, and am loving every minute of it!

If you wish to get in touch with me, you can leave a comment and we can organize a chat from there (and protect our e-mails). I am always looking for help with translations and establishing a China presence!
